01 • Portland General Electric

Supplier Diversity Program Developement

Our team provided assistance to the development of the Supplier Diversity team at Portland General Electric. This service included an initial needs assessment, an overview of their contracting processes, documentation required to track spending for 1st and 2nd tier contractors, category breakout recommendations, contractor certification recommendations, reporting structure for PGE Leadership, and social equity guidance all designed to initiate a cultural shift towards acceptance in the workplace.

02 • GE Renewable & Seattle City Light

Project Specific Supplier Diversity at Boundary Dam

KWC was able to provide GE Renewable with the support needed after their Project Diversity Manager was unable to complete the contract regarding Boundary Dam. We supported the project with strategic recommendations, providing added value to the team by understanding the scope of work, and then provided a sourcing recommendation that was not previously accounted for.  With our help, the project is currently exceeding goals for remote location utilization of WMBE firms.

Project-Specific Supplier Diversity &
Conflict Resolution

Our founder, Kara Williams, supported Voith Hydro to resolve conflicts between the prime, 2nd and 3rd tier contractors.  Kara provided support to Voith during a time of subcontractor project attrition, provided project category sourcing, and provided Race & Social Justice Training to Voith leadership so there could be a clear understanding of the City’s mandate to provide equitable contracting opportunities on all City of Seattle projects.

By coordinating with architects, contractors, and school officials, I ensure that each project aligns with the district's goals and complies with regulatory standards. My focus on clear communication, detailed scheduling, and proactive problem-solving has consistently resulted in the successful delivery of projects that enhance the safety and functionality of our educational facilities.
